Janine is Data Scientist with expertise within the healthcare domain. Having a background in Psychology and a devote interest in machine learning applications, she is interested in understanding the human reflection in the data and how these biases can be mitigated to leverage the potential of data to enable better decision making in healthcare. Intrigued by the intrinsic nature of biases in the way humans think and perceive- Janine is also actively working towards achieving a proportionate gender representation by encouraging, inspiring and promoting minority gender people to achieve their programming potential and build their confidence on stage with the local R-Ladies chapter here in Amsterdam.
